About the Role

The Strategic Portfolio Manager will govern Lotus & Dorje’s combined portfolio of consulting services, programs, projects, digital products, operational capabilities, and strategic partnerships. The role ensures investments and resources align with organizational strategy, customer value, financial capacity, operational readiness, and responsible expansion. This leader will provide executives and the Board with a consolidated, evidence-based view of priorities, costs, cash-flow demands, capacity, dependencies, risks, performance, and expected benefits.

What You'll Do

  • Establish and maintain the enterprise portfolio of programs, projects, products, services, investments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Design portfolio intake, evaluation, prioritization, approval, monitoring, stage-gate, and retirement processes.
  • Evaluate proposals using strategic alignment, customer value, risk, cost, capacity, dependencies, timing, and expected benefits.
  • Maintain an integrated portfolio roadmap of proposed, approved, active, paused, completed, and retired initiatives.
  • Coordinate with executives, department leaders, Program Managers, Product Managers, finance, sales, and delivery teams.
  • Monitor portfolio budgets, forecasts, cash-flow needs, resource demand, vendor commitments, benefits, and risk exposure.
  • Identify capacity constraints, scheduling conflicts, duplicated work, underperforming investments, and cross-portfolio dependencies.
  • Recommend which initiatives should be accelerated, re-scoped, consolidated, paused, sequenced differently, or discontinued.
  • Produce executive and board dashboards covering investment, progress, risk, utilization, revenue contribution, and strategic outcomes.
  • Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, scenario modeling, service-line decisions, and market expansion.

Responsibilities & Role Delivery

Process owned

Portfolio intake, evaluation, prioritization, investment governance, capacity alignment, performance monitoring, benefit realization, and lifecycle decisions.

Automation deliverable

Build a portfolio-control system connecting proposals, scoring, funding, capacity, schedules, dependencies, risks, cash-flow needs, benefits, and executive decisions.

Weekly evidence

Portfolio changes, investment and capacity variances, key dependencies, risk movement, benefit performance, decisions required, and recommendations with supporting evidence.

Success measures

Clear strategy-to-investment alignment; improved resource utilization; fewer scheduling conflicts; transparent cost, capacity, risk, and value reporting; timely intervention in underperforming initiatives; and measurable portfolio benefits.

What You'll Bring

  • Master’s degree, doctorate, or comparable advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management, Marketing, or a closely related discipline appropriate to the role.
  • At least seven years of progressive portfolio, program, product, PMO, consulting, finance, technology, or strategic-operations experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with investment prioritization, resource-capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Strong understanding of project, program, product, service, and investment lifecycles.
  • Ability to analyze competing initiatives and make evidence-based recommendations under financial and capacity constraints.
  • Experience leading cross-functional governance with senior executives, finance, technology, delivery, marketing, and operations.
  • Excellent financial literacy, analytical reasoning, facilitation, negotiation, scenario-planning, and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

Relevant portfolio, program, finance, Agile, ITIL, or governance certification; experience in IT consulting, managed services, SaaS, data, AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or building portfolio governance for a growing organization.
